Grab & Go Service
When you visit, freely browse the shelves to choose and check out materials or pick up held items, but enjoy those items outside the library. To reopen to the public, we must adhere to many state and health requirements so that we may maintain a safe community environment. The health and safety of library patrons, employees, and volunteers is our top priority and, as such, your library visit will feel a bit different when you return. We appreciate your continued understanding and cooperation in helping us maintain a healthy library environment.

We encourage patrons to continue to place holds through our online catalog. If you would like us to have your hold items checked out and ready to go when you arrive, please call us after you receive notice that your hold has arrived. We will then have your items ready to grab and go within 24 hours.

The following requirements are in effect when you visit the library:
  • Face coverings are REQUIRED for entry into the library for everyone over 5 years old or those who cannot medically tolerate a face covering. Disposable face masks will be available to those who need one.
  • Do not enter the library if you are experiencing any COVID-19 related symptoms.
  • Patrons not from the same household must maintain 6 feet of separation from other patrons and staff.
  • Limit your time in the library, including computer use, to 1 hour per day.
  • Seating is limited.
  • Study rooms and the meeting room are closed.
  • Newspapers, magazines, toys, games, water fountains, and other frequently touched items are unavailable.
  • Returned items will continue to be quarantined for 72 hours before being checked in and re-shelved.
  • The library is not accepting donations of materials at this time.

The library has a Phased Reopening Plan in place that allows us to open to the public safely and responsibly. The plan also prepares us to go back to a previous phase should COVID-19 cases increase and new shut-downs be announced. We are currently operating in Phase IV of the Reopening Plan.

Phase I: building closed to the public and all but essential staff required to perform essential tasks. Most staff work remotely to provide virtual customer service and programs.

Phase II: staff members return to work in staggered shifts. Virtual customer service and programs continue.

Phase III: curbside material delivery services are available with limited days and times. Virtual customer service and programs continue.

Phase IV: library building opens to the public with limited occupancy, reduced hours, and limited access to services and resources. Virtual programs continue.

Phase V: library returns to full service; special arrangments may still apply.
